October 1, 2014 is actually a milestone for 3 things in my life. 1) It's our 3 year wedding anniversary. 2) It's my 6 year anniversary at work. 3) I hit 21 weeks.
I kid you not, right when I hit 21 weeks, people all at once at work started to ask me if I was pregnant and congratulated me. Not everyone at my company knows because there's different departments, but people are starting to notice a lot more now. It's as if I just popped right when I hit 21 weeks! I make a point to walk for 20 min every day at work and nobody from different departments said anything until this day when they saw me walking around. They probably wanted to make sure I was pregnant and didn't just gain weight! Haha! This week, I ALMOST got sick again. But I've been gagging and nothing coming out. Other than that, I've been doing alright. No specific cravings.
I went to a friends house and got lucky again! She let me pick out a bunch of maternity clothes AND gave me a Boppy! (Preggo pillow) I wanted to invest in one of these but I'm glad to save the money! Don't think I have to buy any maternity clothes either!
Anniversary & Baby Moon in Santa Barbara
We didn't celebrate our anniversary on the actual day because we knew we were going to celebrate on the weekend. We decided to combine our anniversary celebration with our baby moon since we have holidays, and weddings and other events keeping us busy for the rest of the year. So we thought this was perfect timing. We never been to Santa Barbara and heard how nice it was so we decided to make it a nice relaxing vacation. Relaxing it was! We arrived Saturday afternoon and it was hot! Santa Barbara really is a nice relaxing vacation spot. I have to say, I never felt so safe walking down the street at night or down an alley! Even the alley is nice.We really enjoyed our time there and spending time with each other. Here are some pictures:
First place we went to when we got there was Café Savoy for lunch. This is the 4th Diners, Drive In's and Dives place we've been to. (We love that show). We were not fans unfortunately. That patty you see is a turkey fritter which is suppose to be popular and was featured on the show.. Well turns out it was premade, not hot, and just ok tasting.. I only had a salad.
After lunch we walked and on the main street, State Street window shopping.
Stearns Wharf
No matter where you go, there will always be homeless people. However, this was clever! There wasn't that many homeless people and mostly saw them at the beach. There were other "games" like this to.
Such a beautiful view
Checked out the Maritime museum
Panoramic view of the pier
Went to a restaurant called Jane later that night. It was very cute and very good!
Probably the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted.
My handsome husband <3
Sunday Morning we decided to go to the beach before it got too hot.
We had lunch and then went to the museum. Sorry didn't take pics of the food.. but it was really good Mexican food!
We went back to our hotel and rested for a while and then got ready to go on our Anniversary/Baby Moon date. We went to a French restaurant a friend recommended to us called Bouchon. This was such a cute place and the food was very good.
I got salmon with polenta and veggies. I forgot what Oliver got LOL
Molten Lava Cake.. YUM!
Monday was time to leave and back to our regular lives but we decided to do a pit stop at Venice Beach. As long as I've lived in California, I have never been here, neither has Oliver so it was both our first time going there.
That shop is exactly what it looks like.
Weather was perfect! And there was a lot of ... interesting people to. ;)
Last but definitely not least, I am 95% sure I am feeling Violet move around in my stomach! It feels like someone poking you in the stomach with their finger lightly and also that gas feeling but this time I know it's not gas LOL! Definitely makes me smile and I can't wait to feel her even more when she gets bigger.
