I just thought I'd update on Violet since we are seeing a few changes already. She is now 3 months old and we see a few different things. All of a sudden she started to look at her hands like she was wondering what they were. She squeezes them and she puts them up like she's about to box someone LOL.
And the other day she was sitting on my lap on the couch and all of a sudden she sits up all by her self! She can't quite keep her self upright but she is getting there! When she tries to sit up she goes all the way forward to her legs so I have to keep her up so she's not smashing her face LOL. I have to say early on we really didn't have to do tummy time as much because her neck is strong and has been trying to hold it up for as long as I can remember. She's getting stronger and stronger!
It will be fun watching her grow and I am in no hurry for her to grow up.
She also has this smile and she squints her nose that I love. I wish I had a video of it but I don't.
She had her first baby birthday invite this memorial day weekend! I'm looking forward to her first birthday but again I'm in no rush. It was at our family friend's house. I met Angie through my friend Joe who I grew up with. I liked her from the beginning and she helped me through out my pregnancy with saving on maternity clothes, helpful tips, etc. and even made time to visit me or invite me over. She's great!

We went to our friends daughter's birthday at a trampoline park. Can't wait to go back with Violet when she is older. But she did not cry once! She was having so much fun looking around and seeing all these kids and hearing the music.
Sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Seems like something is going around right now. Started on a Wednesday when I got a fever and started to have a little sore throat, then turned into a cough with phlegm. Turns out I have acute bronchitis. Now I know how it feels to be sick and take care of your baby at the same time! It is NOT fun. It SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Who ever gave this to me, I dislike them.. a lot right now lol. When you're sick, you're told to get plenty of rest. What rest?! Especially with a baby.
I have never been so frustrated with myself. When I wanted to sleep, and Violet was finally asleep, I would get mad because I would have to cough and that would sometimes make Violet wake up. I just wanted a full night of sleep. But if it wasn't Violet waking up it was my cough. I swear I wanted to punch myself lol. Luckily I went to the doctors and they gave me antibiotics so I'm slowly getting better. It was just the worst weekend ever. Oliver and my step dad was sick to so that was no fun. Good thing Violet is healthy! Breastfeeding gives her the antibodies so she is ok.
I feel bad because I usually talk to her and have the energy to play but I am struggling since my voice is barely there. Can't wait to kiss her again!
Sometimes when it's just me and Violet at home, it gets pretty lonely at the house and now I'm looking forward to someone being at home. That's why I get excited about Fridays and Saturdasy knowing Oliver is there. Makes me think, can I really be a stay at home mom? That's what I want to be but maybe it's just because Violet is really little right now and when she gets older it would be easier.
Violet sure is growing up though. With the sitting, and her personality. She usually likes staying in her lounger but now seems like she doesn't want to stay in there as much and she tries to get out. Here she is trying to get out:
Looks like we have to get something where she likes staying!
But she's our little patoots and we love her to pieces!
