Jam Packed Weekend

This past weekend was short but filled with fun activity! Watched Batman the Dark Knight Rises Friday night, cleaning and chores Saturday morning (not the fun part obviously), picnic and a movie at Balboa Park Saturday night, Sunday a dear friend's bridal shower at noon which was beautiful. Can't wait for the wedding in August! Followed by visiting parents in the afternoon, dinner with friends at the Yellow Deli, and hung out at a friends house.

What I really was looking forward to was "Screen on the Green" with friends. Every Summer, Balboa Park shows old movies outside their Art Museum where people can picnic with drinks and I mean wine and beer when I say that ;). It's perfect because it's something to do with friends, it gets you out of the house, and it's free! It's really nice to see people enjoy each others company and picnics. Very relaxing! I got the idea from the movie The Wedding Planner and I just thought it was so neat so I looked to see if it's done locally. Luckily a lot of places do it during the summer!  This was both Oliver and my second time doing something like this but we were excited to have a few of our good friends join us and this was their first time! They enjoyed it so much, we were talking about doing it again this coming weekend! I recommend this to anyone who appreciates old films and to bring a jacket or blanket watching the movie. Even though it's San Diego, it gets chilly at night especially for us natives!

Dianne & Andre's Wedding

Dianne and Andre's Wedding was this past Wednesday (5/20/2012) and it was a beautiful and intimate beach wedding at the La Jolla Wedding Bowl and the Reception was at  Aloha Sushi. It was perfect and everyone had a good time. Since Dianne is such a big fan of Disney, their honeymoon was at DisneyWorld! So jealous! :) Her and Andre are so perfect for each other and you could feel their love for one another that day. I'm so happy for them.   I feel honored to have been one of Dianne's bridesmaids because she is a great friend. Dianne and I go way back to our middle school days and have become great friends a long the way and I've come to learn she's such a strong women. It takes a certain person to stand with their head held high knowing the obstacles they've gone through, and she's that person. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a friend. I can go on and on but I'll keep it short and sweet.  I'm going to miss her because her and Andre are moving to Ireland this August for 2 years for Andre's work. I'm sad to see them go but I couldn't be happier for them :) Hopefully we can visit!

Welcome to the club Andre!

 Next stop: DisneyWorld!

The past few weeks have been great. The weeks were full of getting together, Dianne's bachelorette and of course the Wedding. It was great to have 2 of my favorite girls together and all sharing this special occasion. Ginger came down from San Francisco and planned such a fun Bachelorette. We went to the Bernardo Winery during lunch and then to Silk night club at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula. It was a lot of fun and it's extra fun when you have good company. Dianne & Ginger: Love you both!

Back to School

Oliver finished his first semester in the Palomar Nursing Program with his final test score of 91!  He had the highest score in his class! I'm so proud of him.  He wont brag but I figured I would :) I think he has a right to anyway because he studied like there was no tomorrow and that score deserves praise. He starts second semester in September so he has all this time to sleep and i get jealous :p He's expected to graduate in December 2013 and we can't wait!

Now for my news, (dun dun dun!...just kidding ) Only a few know but I decided to continue my education for my Bachelor's in Management. I received my Associated in Business Management at Ashworth College which is home based and this is where I'll continue my education for my Bachelors since I work full time. I figured since my husband would be busy studying and we don't have kids yet, this would be the best time. I know it's tough to start school when you have young ones already and I've seen a few friends do this and I give them so much credit.  I thought to myself, "Why didn't I do this sooner?" But late is better than never!  I wanted to do something to not only make my loved ones proud but to make myself proud. It's going to take a little while but at least it will pay off in the end. So wish me luck on this journey!

Hello family and friends! Welcome to our blog spot! We decided to start a blog to keep in touch with all our loved ones since we have a lot of family and friends out of town and for some we only see a few times out of the year or even less than that! We thought this would be a great way to connect and keep you updated with what's going on in our lives, special events, important news and fun stuff! Also, a  friend inspired me to make one ;).
It's already been a little over 8 months since our amazing wedding day and we are of course still cheesy and corny! Our lifestyle definitely changed once we got married. The day after our wedding we went on our honeymoon. The day after we came home, we had to pack and move to our apartment. Bam, Bam, Bam! Things changed quickly but it was exciting thinking of starting our new life as Mr. & Mrs! We hope you visit often and we'll try to post as much as we can!
